My students write a great deal during the day; however, they don't see what they do as writing. They are texting, messaging, and commenting on social media all the time. They are also answering questions, writing STAAR prompt responses, and answering history questions all day long. The latter is what they see as writing. I want them to see that there world is actually full of writing, and I want them to see that type of writing as also valid. We are starting this process by conducting a survey. We are passing out 375 of these surveys at my school, and hopefully, we will turn our findings into a report, maybe even a written report and a video. Here's what we got so far......... Writing Survey.docx (22.87 KB)

That's really cool. Also, 375 surveys is impressive!
